Atlanta GA was fascinated by one of the biggest Garba show of Dandiya Queen Falguni Pathak organized in the holy premises of Shree Shakti Mandir on 4th November 2018.
More than 2000 Garba fans attended this event. Young boys, girls, men, women clad in colorful attire enjoyed playing Garba/ Dandiya when Falguni Pathak in her own style sang, traditional and latest songs remade with famous songs of Bollywood tunes.
Falguni Pathak is an Indian female singer, performing artist, and composer based in Mumbai. Her music is based on traditional musical forms from the Indian state of Gujarat. Since her professional debut in 1998, she has developed into an artist with a large fan base across India. Once asked how she decided to take up singing as a career, she replied that it happened by default.
Her debut album was released in 1998 and she has also recorded numerous songs for Bollywood movies. The theme of most of her songs is love. She has performed in many shows in India and other countries, backed by a band called Tha Thaiyaa. When some of her popular songs are “Chudi jo khanki haath ma”, “Maine payal hai chhankai”, “Meri chunar udd udd jaye”, “Ayi pardesh se pariyon ki rani” and”Sawaan Mein” were presented entire Garba players were zoomed in dancing and cheering energy which enchanted entire audience who were simply watching Garbas.
This show was organized by Ravindra Dave and his team members Jonty Raval and Sandeep Savla, with Gopal Haribhakti (NC), Vimal Patel (NC), after Navaratri and before Diwali in a short period of one month only. Initially organizers Ravindra Dave and Gopal Haribhakti were skeptical about the success of show but because of tireless efforts of all volunteers made this show a success.
The main sponsor for the show was 27th Group a nationwide leading, popular company providing best tools to diversify and grow client`s investment. They are also leader in participating and promoting high quality concert, movies and video production and local event organizers. Ms. Rina Gupta a marketing executive of 27th group gave some highlights about 27th Group activities and achievements. Organizers Ravindra Dave and Gopal Haribhakti expressed sincere gratitude to 27th group for sponsoring this great event.
Patel Brothers were also another sponsor who were kind enough to extend their helping hand to sponsor this event. Organizers showed appreciations and gratitude to all sponsors viz. Abhiroochi, Raju Omlete Center, Blue Berry, Masala Cottage, Sona Led, Mega Entertainment, Whizz Entertainment, Zaveri Bazar etc. Pankaj Patel of Abhiroochi in addition to financial sponsorship also sponsored water/ soda bottles.
Malani Jeweler a prominent Jeweler of Atlanta gave out a raffle of a diamond ring which was won by one of the Garba Player during the raffle draw picked by Falguni Pathak. In addition to this grand raffle there were other raffles.
The organizers were also thankful to all the volunteers Asia Sheikh, Keyur Joshi, Jay Raval, Vishwa Motiwala, Chelsi Motiwala, Deepa Shah, Devyani Dave,Parul Patel, Kaushik Patel, Chirag Thakkar, Raju, Jatin Shah and his wife Chaula and many others did who did marvelous job by working tirelessly to make this show a grand success.
An enchanting Audio Visual was provided by Sandeep Savla. This audio visual coupled with Led lighting added tremendous grace to the entire event. Ravindra Dave said `Hats Off to Sandeepbhai for his incredible marvelous work’.
Organizers also thanked Shree Shakti Mandir for providing a huge venue of Sumant Center where 4000+ participants can play Garba. Organizers were very thankful to Shree Shakti Mandir and their entire team of volunteers who worked for the success of this show.
The entire event`s media coverage on TV was provided by TV Asia a community supporting channel. Anjali Chhabria a local anchor for TV Asia did great job to cover the show.
